Melissa Chada is a 29 year old single mother of two young children who in February of 2008 discovered she had a large malignant mass on her lung. She immediately started chemotherapy and radiation treatment, then in June she had surgery to remove the tumor and doctors were optimistic that the treatment was a success. Unfortunately, not long after more tumors appreard and in December 2009 Melissa was told that the cancer had spread to her bones as well.
Melissa is currently undergoing another course of chemotherapy and refuses to give up. Although she has good days and bad, the pain from her tumors and the drain of her chemo leave her unable to get out of bed somedays.
Her innability to work consistently is causing a drain financially and she worries about the brightness of her children's future. Her family and close friends are coming together to raise money to ease some of those financial woes.
Please join us for a fun event to help raise money for a good cause on Sunday May 23,2010 at Gaelic Park - 6119 W. 147th Street in Oak Forest from 3-8 PM..
There will be Dinner, Dancing, DJ, "Circus Boy" Bobby Hunt, Live Bands, Kids Activities, Lots of Raffles and Prizes.
Cash Bar. Dinner will start at 4 pm.
Adult tickets (16 and older) are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
Kids 15 and under are $5.00 at the door only.
